kwBolder — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

kwBolder is a Canva app that detects and bolds the most important keywords in the text of your current Canva page. This policy explains what data kwBolder processes, why, and your choices.

2. Data we process

Design text (transient). When you run a scan, the text on your current Canva page is sent to our backend and to our AI provider (see §4) to detect which words to bold. It is processed to generate the suggestion and is not used to build advertising profiles and not sold. We do not store your design text after the request is served, beyond any short-lived, security-related logging described below.

Canva identifiers. Canva provides us a signed token identifying your Canva user ID and team (brand) ID. We use these to authenticate requests and to count usage. We do not receive your name, email, or password from Canva.

Usage data. We store a per-user record of how many scans you’ve run and the first/most-recent activity timestamps, to operate the service and any usage limits or paid tiers.

Technical logs. Standard server logs (e.g. timestamps, error information) may be retained briefly for reliability and security.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

• To provide the feature you requested (perform the keyword detection).
• To operate and secure the service (authentication, abuse prevention, debugging).
• To administer plans and limits (usage counting, premium access). Where required, our legal basis is performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable service.

4. Third parties (subprocessors)

• Anthropic — provides the Claude AI model that analyzes the page text to suggest keywords. Text is sent to Anthropic’s API for this purpose. See Anthropic’s terms/privacy at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy .
• Netlify — hosts our backend and database; governed by Netlify’s own policies.
• Canva — the platform the app runs in; governed by Canva’s own policies.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

• Design text: not retained after the scan is served (transient processing).
• Usage records and identifiers: retained while you have the app installed.
• On uninstall, Canva notifies our backend and we delete the usage data associated with your user and team IDs.
• You may also request deletion at dev@biztems.it .

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact dev@biztems.it to exercise these rights.

7. Data location and transfers

Data may be processed in Italy, Ireland and the United States, as well as select countries in Europe, Asia, and Australia depending on the product and configuration and by the subprocessors above, which may transfer data internationally under appropriate safeguards.

8. Children

kwBolder is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, token verification, access controls) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at https://www.kwbolder.com/privacy .
